Rebecca Allan is a gifted painter and artist. "My paintings are rooted in the dramatic cycles of nature as well as a deep curiosity about science, and the forces underlying what we observe on the surface of things. My working process involves careful observation and drawing, mixing pigments and layering color or detail over time — in response to the environment, and to observed and felt experience."

This 18" x 23" exquisitely detailed portrait of a Ponderosa Pine, captures the essence of this iconic plant friend across the US West perfectly. Signed, charcoal on paper. Matted/Unframed.

Pinus ponderosa (Eastern Washington)
