Hebé García is a figurative artist, deeply moved by the essence of human nature, which she strives to capture in her figurative oil paintings and ceramic sculptures. Born in Miami, Florida, her formative years in San Juan, Puerto Rico, significantly shaped her artistic vision. The island's vibrant cultural heritage and rich mythology seeped into her soul, becoming a constant source of inspiration. In 2015, she moved with her husband to Abiquiu, New Mexico, where the area's breathtaking beauty and historical significance have elevated her work to new heights. The 360-degree views of the legendary Cerro Pedernal, a favorite of Georgia O'Keeffe, and the ancient land steeped in history and enchantment infuse her creations with a profound sense of place and history.

Her artwork reflects the enigmatic aspects of human nature, both internal and external. It explores how individuals navigate their emotions, desires, fantasies, and impulses. The creative process for her is a journey of equal parts challenge and exhilaration, whether she is working with oil paints or clay. Ideas often strike her spontaneously, amid everyday life or in the depths of her dreams. Once an idea takes hold, it becomes an obsession, a driving force that compels her to bring it to life on canvas or in clay.

Each piece is unique and original, reflecting her artistic vision and processes. She is a member of the New Mexico Potters and Clay Artists and the Gentileschi Aegis Gallery Association. Her artwork can be viewed at various locations, including the Nest Showroom in Abiquiu, NM, NOSA Restaurant in Ojo Caliente, NM, and the permanent collection of the Museo de Arte de Bayamón (MAB).
